THE PROBLEM
STATISITCS:

DEFINING THE PROBLEM
There are several websites to educate parents, but many aren't user friendly or 100% accurate on what medicine to take.
WHY DOES IT MATTER?
This is a real problem because 9 out of 10 people in the US use over-the-counter medicine. It is also known that there are over 80 different kinds of over-the-counter medicine. A major problem that comes up is drug misuse. Dextromethorphan (Nyquil), acetaminophen (Tylenol), and Advil (Ibuprofen) are the top three most commonly misused drugs. Additionally, acetaminophen (Tylenol), Advil (Ibuprofen) are the two most common OTC pain relievers. Since 1999, more than 932,000 people have died from overdosing on medicines. These overdoses are commonly accidental.
