PROFESSIONAL REVIEW
WHAT WAS THE PROFESSIONAL REVIEW?
The professional review night was an opportunity for Senior STEAM students (myself included) to gain knowledge and feedback from experts and professionals in the genre of our project. We were to present to them our chosen problem, our proposed solution, and what we have done with our project. In return, they would provide us with guidance, feedback, and additional ideas to add.
PROFESSIONAL REVIEW FEEDBACK
All three of my professional reviews were wonderful! They were all very pleased with my project, and that really had an impact on my confidence. One thing that all the reviews praised was my dedication to the project. Many of the comments were positive reinforcement of my solution as well as my understanding of the problem I am trying to solve. One professional review suggested that I stick to one user group and not try to accommodate children, adults, and the elderly. This advice changed the course of my project. I had been so focused on trying to research every over-the-counter medicine that it became too much work to do over the course of six months. After that night, I switched over from adult medication to children's medicine and switched my target audience to parents and guardians. This meant that I would only include children's over-the-counter medicine.

PROFESSIONAL REVIEW "THANK YOU" LETTER
Dear ________,
Thank you so much for your insight on my project, iPharm. To make my project more impactful, I took your advice and am now aiming it at parents. This means that all of my over-the-counter medications will be the children's versions. Additionally, I am going to implant a very specific warning label, so my design is clear to the user. Your advice to specifically say "this is not a replacement for a licensed medical provider" really helps ensure that my design is to only provide suggestions, not to be used as a medical tool. Moving forward, I plan to implement a privacy screen protector and a warning label above my kiosk.
Again, thank you so much for your advice and input on my project, iPharm. I look forward to seeing you at the STEAM Expo on May 18th.
Sincerely,
Erin Neises, Anoka High School
